McCain Goes Digital!
Tue Jul 08, 2008 at 07:23:47 PM PDT
I have shut off cable news for the most part. Even Olbermann. I just couldn't handle the tripe. It really is just a waste of time. Hey - quit watching the shows & register voters instead. I promise you will sleep better!!
But the Mr. had Olbermann on as I walked out of the kids room. So I sat and watched Rachel Maddow who is a welcome treat.
But then a McCain commercial comes on.
Calling all electioneers.

I got wind on Friday afternoon that Obama was coming to town on Monday. I was thrilled!! The wind was in the from of a fundraiser asking for a big fat check.
That's not going to happen.
But something extraordinary did happen.

"I believe it would be important to get every member of Congress on record," Clinton told supporters at a rally in southern Indiana. "Do they stand with the hard-pressed Americans who are trying to pay their gas bills at the gas station or do they once again stand with the oil companies?
"I want to know where people stand and I want them to tell us, are they with us or against us when it comes to taking on the oil companies?" she added.
Yikes.

Twenty-eight weeks to November 4th. Can you believe it? It was such a nightmare when Bush was elected to a second term. It was such a sad time in my life. I was re-invigorated when Claire McCaskill won in 2006 - buoyed by the taking of the House & Senate. Although not ideal - I am happy that there are no horrible Bush appointees to the Supreme Court in the past year & a half. I am glad that Bush has had to use his veto pen WAY more in the last year & a half.
Signals from Cantwell to Clinton
Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 03:42:56 AM PDT
The Democratic party should come together around the candidate with the most delegates, the most states and the largest popular vote, Cantwell said. The pledged delegate count will be the most important factor, she said, because that is the basis of the nominating process.
Cantwell talks to the Columbian Editorial Board
"I think it’s important that we let it play out in June," she said. At that point, she said, "I’d be urging my party to make a decision."
Denver Obama Pledged Delegates
Mon Mar 10, 2008 at 07:42:19 PM PDT
I am a yellow-dog Dem. I will vote for the Democratic nominee. This diary is directed towards Obama folks. If you are an HRC supporter, I would be happy to hear your thoughts on the diary. If you want to piss in a pro-Obama diary, I would be most appreciative if you would hold your water for another diary.
Hello Obama supporters and welcome guests.
I am an Obama delegate to the 5th Congressional District Convention on March 27th. I am going to actively pursue a delegate position to Denver. I know it will be an uphill climb but I am a fighter and an advocate and want the Missouri Obama delegation to be strong in their commitment to the will of the voters of Missouri.
It's My Birthday
Sat Feb 23, 2008 at 04:52:31 PM PDT
Howdy All!! I am 38 today!! Wow!!
I got so many birthday gifts.
- My 3YO & 5YO wished me Happy Birthday to me in the sweetest voice & with a smile that would knock your socks off. This is my first Birthday as a Mom. We are foster parents to a sibling set of three, and it just thrills me to no end that I am a Mom.
- My husband made me two Obama t-shirts including my fabulous "Mama for Obama" shirt.
- My in-laws and my mother have whisked away the three kids for the night while my husband prepares a steak & baked potato for me. We also have friends coming over to play a few hands of poker.
- My husband bought me a plane ticket to Dallas and graciously agreed to single parent for four days while I go & Barack the Vote in Texas.
- My sister & her husband took their two kids to an Early Voting location in Richardson Texas & voted for Obama. They called me immediately after with their news!
What's right with Kansas???
Tue Feb 05, 2008 at 06:19:04 PM PDT
Full Disclaimer: I am a Democrat & will vote for the Dem nominee. I am an Obama supporter. I am a Missouri Tigers fan & pretty much loathe the State of Kansas & the Kansas Jayhawks.
The Kansas caucuses are going crazy!! I am babysitting for a couple who are at a caucus in Prarie Village Kansas. They say they are being sent to another location because they can't accomodate the 2000 people!
Another friend says 1500 people at her location. They have divied up the caucus and the first one for Barack. Her group is up next.
Missouri results can be found here.
