Milwaukee area votes with pocketbooks for Obama
Tue Jul 29, 2008 at 08:20:37 AM PDT
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, a typical mainstream newsprint, seems to have 2 reporters with a story on their hands: Donations to the Obama campaign are higher or roughly equal to McCains in the Republican areas of counties surrounding Milwaukee.
Bill Bradley as Obama VP
Thu Mar 06, 2008 at 11:36:14 AM PDT
Among the really big "old school" names
Hillary ? No. The people reject her and so do I
Al Gore ? No. He has already stated that the answer is "no."
Wes Clark ? No. Not charismatic enough and simply not VP material all-around
Bill Bradley ? Say yes ! Talk about a powerful choice. Age 64.
John Edwards ? Pretty good, but not as good as Bill Bradley.
Russ Feingold ? He probably will decline and he's a powerful force in the Senate now.
Vote for most despicable HRC act
Tue Mar 04, 2008 at 08:00:08 AM PDT
I have been anti-Hillary for a while because of her Iraq votes and un-progressive stance on Iraq. But Kossacks are aware of more.
Each week she seems to pile on another piece of steaming crap. This weekend was a double dump by Hillary. The un-defense of the false smear that Obama is Muslim and the endorsement that McCain could be a better President than Barack Obama.
Without further ado, a vote.
McCain at the Convention ? or NOT !
Fri Feb 22, 2008 at 01:28:40 PM PDT
The threads on McCain and Paxson
WAAAAAAAAAA-EEEELLLLLLLLL !
http://www.dailykos.com/... Newsweek is reporting that McCain testified in a deposition five years ago that he personally spoke with the CEO of Paxson Communications regarding Paxson's business before the FCC. This flatly contradicts McCain's denial yesterday that he'd had any contact with Paxson or his representatives regarding the matter. http://www.newsweek.com/...
Stomachs of McCain supporters must be in knots !
Huckabee's Saturday spin: $ 250,000 raised !!
Sat Feb 09, 2008 at 07:12:40 PM PDT
Hilarious !
Huckabee said Saturday that the $250,000 his campaign had raised online in 24 hours was a sign of the health of his presidential effort. CNN reports today
Does Huckabee drink ? Kool-aid or wapatoolie ? Where's the merry-go-round ?
Convention in July
Fri Feb 08, 2008 at 11:21:43 AM PDT
So, the Democratic National Convention is in August 25 to August 28th. The late timing of the convention allows for less solo campaigning by the eventual nominee (HRC, Obama or Al Gore).
Howard Dean and others are warning about dangers of a brokered convention.
So, why not move the convention to July ?

The Ideal Gore Ticket: Your VP nominee ?
Fri Aug 17, 2007 at 01:34:11 PM PDT
Gore announces for President in 10 minutes. He's got a short list for Vice-President.
Kerry ? Kerry is the best overall person to be VP, imho.
Feingold. Thumbs up.
Edwards. He was good enough to Kerry's choice for VP and he's better than last time.
Dodd. Acceptable.
Richardson. Hmmm.
Obama. He might be on the short list.
HR Clinton. She's on the short list.
Mass deletion at Live Journal.
Wed May 30, 2007 at 04:20:31 PM PDT
CNET reports on mass deletion of people's stories at Live Journal
Thousands of LiveJournal customers are rebelling against the company's recent decision to censor hundreds of sex-themed discussion groups, a broad swath that has led to the removal of literary critiques and fan-written fiction about Harry Potter.
To be atheist
Tue May 22, 2007 at 09:28:32 AM PDT
I'm not interested at all in "worship".
On the other hand, I do not discount the possibility of a supreme being.
But my cyncism toward such a possibility is increased.
I'm now more atheist than agnostic.
Thoughts ?

Crystal ball aims at Gonzales
Sun Apr 22, 2007 at 06:41:08 AM PDT
The motivation to keep Gonzales around must weigh heavily on the minds of Bush, Cheney and other neo-cons. It surely is weighing on the minds of Senate Republicans.
Favorite Kossack signatures
Sat Apr 21, 2007 at 04:23:05 AM PDT
I've seen some pretty good signatures. So, I picked out a couple big threads and snagged a few of the good ones.
Vote from this list of Kossack signatures

The Pro-choice Dem candidates ?
Mon Mar 19, 2007 at 02:51:04 PM PDT
A friend of mine asked me about the pro-choice presidential candidates. She absolutely refuses to vote for someone who is in the pro-life camp. It sounds like she always wants some hard info on pro-choice Dem candidates ?
Any relevant links would be appreciated. I don't trust the candidates' websites and its been a long day of driving. So, I'm too wiped out to investigate this myself.
